Caitlin grew up on Long Island where she attended her first art school, The Huntington School of Fine Arts. There she began oil painting, sculpture and drawing from the model. After transferring from Bennington College to the Rochester Institute of Technology, she declared her major in Illustration and gained experience learning about the interaction between story and art. Her enthusiasm for fantasy, folklore and mythology grew over the years and led to many drawings and paintings of that genre. Caitlin loves capturing human emotion in fantastic settings. She works in a variety of media, including oil and acrylic paints, charcoal, pastel and pen and ink. She has exhibited her work at art galleries located on Long Island and in Rochester, NY where she now resides. She has finished custom portraits and illustrated for the Reporter Magazine for several years. After her design internships with the Jim Henson Company and Penguin Group (Dutton), Caitlin has learned much about the entertainment and book publishing industries.
