Nathaniel Tripp

“Nat” Tripp has lived on a Vermont hill farm for over thirty years where he raises sheep and vegetables. At various times, he has worked in film and television writing and producing for Public Television, corporate clients and advertising agencies. A Vietnam veteran, his memoir Father Soldier Son was published by Steerforth Press in 1996. Steerforth is also publishing Confluence, a book about a river, politics and the environment scheduled for publication in May of 2005.

Nat has always had a great interest in nature and science. Over the years, he has written many articles and essays on these subjects. His first children’s book was Thunderstorm published by Dial BYR in 1994. Snow Comes to the Farm was published by Walker Books in 2001.

Additionally, Nat has long served on numerous boards and commissions in the Upper Connecticut River valley. He is active in railroad, tourism and historic preservation issues as well as environmental concerns, and he is the owner of a 1954 Pullman sleeping car. He is married to author, Reeve Lindbergh, and between them, they have two daughters and three sons. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins and others who like to stop by, help get the hay in, and enjoy one of Nat’s famous “all farm dinners.” For information about school visits and speaking engagements, please contact Dwyer & O’Grady, Inc.
