Birgitta Sif was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and lived in and around Scandinavia and America while growing up. From a young age, she loved to draw and make her colorful characters come alive on the page. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and then got her professional jumpstart at a weekly newspaper in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. While there, she won numerous awards for her work. We find Birgitta’s whimsical artwork very appealing, and we’re happy to offer her talents for the first time to the children’s book market.
