Geoffrey Norman is the autho r of fourteen books, both fiction and non-fiction, including Two For the Summit, an account of his experiences climbing mountains with his daughter. This book was included on the New York Times list of notable titles in 2002. Norman has also published in a number of periodicals, including Sports Illustrated, the Wall Street Journal, Outside, National Geographic, Boys Life, Yankee, Men’s Journal, and many others.
In addition to mountain climbing, Norman has written about scuba diving, car racing, canoeing, ice climbing and a number of other pursuits including training a yellow lab with another daughter.
Norman is a native of the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast where he still spends time, though for several years now, he and his wife have called Vermont – where they raised their two daughters – home. Norman is currently working on a young adult novel set during the American Civil War and an account of his experiences raising and training an obstreperous and irresistible English Pointer named Jeb Stuart.
